$ 203.90

Assalamualaykum wht,

It was a month back when I was in a luxurious, mind-blowing, appeasing, non-stop, long drive from Indiana to Albuquerque, New Mexico. 19 hours of incessant driving was not bad at all. We had 3 drivers, we only stopped for gas refueling, praying, eating, and of course 'toileting'. Still it was pretty pleasant Once or twice we pulled over to take some pictures, typically after seeing big sign boards welcoming us to another country after passing regional boarders. I wasn't sure when it was exactly my turn to take over the steering. Hmm...maybe I was the 3rd pilot since I remembered I was the only one cognizant and conscious in that rented GM's car. My co-pilot...got reality brushed away by tiredness, as well as the two misses at the back seats who enjoyed surfing the dream world pleasantly, accompanied by soothing yet soporific background of these nowadays' contemporary anaasyed.

I myself, however, felt entirely fresh. Ooo....ooo I know, 'cause I was going to drive this car directly to this Albuquerque place, and then I would have this opportunity to say, "Hoyyahhh, wake up guys, we're already here. Sapa paling lambat keluar kete, dia bucuk!!!"
Okay, I was kidding. Driving on a long, dull highway is not something that everybody would ask for. Quite the reverse, driving on a local street, searching for a specific, correct street in a brisk traffic would be more interesting. There are more things you can do, you can drive, you can talk, you can search, you can argue, you can see more new things around you. Well, except for the time where you tried to parallel-parking on a side of heavy busy city traffic, but you couldn't make it right until the 15th times because you screwed it up at the first place and the next moves were impossible to be corrected, and at the mean time you have the entire crowd looking at you, and some guys from the crowd trying to help you out,...that was another story.

So, I was driving all by myself and started to think, imagine, more to 'berangan' about stuff here and there. I was imagining how cool, fantastic it would be to sight-viewing a superb scene of Allah's beautiful design - a beautiful, PINK sunset in Albuquerque. I figured out that we needed at least 19 hours to get there, but we were short on time for at least an hour. Unsurprisingly, my right foot found pressing down the pedal was somewhat amusing. We needed to be there the latest at 5 pm, so that we can freshen up, prepare for Maghrib and stuff before enjoying the scene. We had the need to do so, and my foot was exceptionally glad to help.

I sped from 70-75- 80-85-90 (148.06 km ) and I maintained the last mile. I glanced at the speed limit sign, we were now in Oklahoma and the speed limit was 70 miles (112.65 km), with "No Tolerance" written at the bottom of the sign. Well, okay. My friend once said that when driving on a highway, it's still cool to go above 10 miles top. So, 80 miles was supposed to be the max limit here but I was pretty sure no cops were around at this time of hour. They usually come out at night, don't they?

* The dialog below is not necessarily in their original, exact sentences. I didn't record this imaginary conversation.

Mind: What if there is a cop hiding in the bush, like what polices in Malaysia
always do? What you are going to do?
Me: Well, we have many alternatives. One of them is, errmm.. my friend once told
me that if a police catches you; pretend that you don't speak English. When
he says something, just say..."No English...No English.." They will do
nothing to you when you yourself don't even know what they are charging you
for.
Mind: Okay, good idea. So, you're gonna lie. Fantastic. What a remarkable plan to
think of.
Baguih la tu... Siakap si nohong, gelama ikan duri, bercakap bohong...
Me: Lama-lama mencuri....tau, tau..
Aight, I'll just say that we are in rush because we want to get faster to
Albuquerque before 5 to see the pink sunset.

Ironically, after approximately 5 minutes discussing this matter with myself, I saw a white car, blinking red, blue light on its roof, appeared in my rear side mirror.
Wwwooohhhh...*Sighhh

To be concluded
