Assalamualaykum,

Changes and Choices

It has always been my dream to raise a family in the United States, well..I also desperately want to spend the rest of my teenage life (am I still a teenager..? :p) in Japan for so many reasons, but that’s a different story.

When I was preparing to come home after graduating from IUB, I also applied for a post-grad program. The plan was I will be going back to this exact location since I love it so much here. Without even realizing it, the life I led during that time was my comfort zone and I pretty much wanted it to last as long as possible. Ustazah Gee told us once when we were in primary school about studying vs working, so I already knew it by then that working life does not rock as much as studying.

The program had started in September last year but I requested one year extension, kengkononnya I needed to have a first-hand experience before going back to studying. The school said that’s fine with them and I can enroll in September 2007.

So, here I am, a year later, perplexed with hesitation whether to go back or just continue the job that have been doing for the past 7 months. When I was in the States I was afraid of the new changes I have to face in the working life, and when I already adapted to the working environment, I’m afraid to get back to my life as a student.

Okkkeyyy.....
seriously, I have an issue.

To be continued.. rehat dah habis la pulak.
