Assalamualaykum,

SPM Stories

Alhamdulillah, all three of my siblings did well in their SPM.

Aishah (18 years old) got 10 As and 1 B, her Advanced Arabic a little terkantoi. But knowing Aishah, that's old news....heh.

My two brothers, who skipped formal secondary school so that they can become a haafidz, also sit for the same exam. however, they just had a year to prepare for five year's materials.

Amir(20 years old) , who only had 1 year of formal educational background at Sekolah Agama Kepala Batas managed to get himself 8 As... AND suprisingly, he was the school's SPM top student. He even got 1A for Science!

Ammar, who only had 1 day of formal educational background at Sekolah Menengah Guar Perahu and the rest is self-study sessions at home, amazed us too with 4 As.

So, my conclusion is : Once your heart is cleared, your mind can absorb anything gazillion times faster than normal people. Apa-apa pun, semuanya rezeki dari Allah, ye dak..?

And here's something interesting. It's just a person's thought, so it may be true or it may be not. Orang jawa kata, 'It's the thought that counts'. (relevent kah?)

1.) Pelajar Sekolah Agama Yayasan Islam Kelantan.
2.) Anak ahli Parti Islam SeMalaysia (PAS).
3.) Berasal dari Negeri Islam Kelantan.
4.) Bukan ahli Puteri UMNO Baru.
5.) Bukan ahli agama sesat Islam Hadhari

Kelantan claims its girl is the best
15 Mar 2007

KOTA BARU: The Kelantan government has declared a student from the state as the country’s top Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia student.

State Information and Education Committee chairman, Nik Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah, praised religious school student Siti Fatimah Mukhtar, who scored 17 1As and a 2A for her achievement and said she should have been recognised as the top student.

Siti Fatimah, from Ma’ahad Muhammadi Perempuan here, scored 1As in Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Science, Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English for Science and Technology, Commerce, Geography, History, Pendidikan Al-Quran dan
As-sunnah, Pendidikan Syariah Islam, Tasawwur Islam, Accounting and Basic Economics. Her sole A2 was in Advanced Arabic.

"As the Education Ministry has not named the top student, then we will take this opportunity to name Siti Fatimah as the best SPM student in the country," Nik Mohd Amar said when announcing the SPM results for the 20 state religious schools (SAN) and 25 People’s
Religious Schools (SAR) that are run by the Kelantan Islamic Foundation (YIK).

Ma’ahad Muhammadi Perempuan, an all girls’ school here, is a state religious school.

Nik Mohd Amar also announced that the state government had offered Siti Fatimah a scholarship worth more than RM150,000 a year to continue her studies in the Middle
East.

Assalamualaykum,

Here and There

I usually love to write. It keeps my mind sane for a while. Listening to music while pouring out my thought into something tangible is really one of my ways to lift up my spirit, feel free and light for a second.

However, life is not always that sweet and peaceful and quite and perfect. I find it hard nowadays to sit in front of my computer without not doing something related to work.

How people change,
how I change.
It’s still one of the mysteries of the world...ngeheh.

1) Went back to By's home town in Kluang two weeks before Chinese New Year holiday. Took the opportunity to have a picnic at the famous Air Terjun Kota Tinggi. Well, the last time I went to the place, I was nearly 10 and this year I'm about to turn 24. You do the math, it has been ages... But I just can not believe my eyes when we reached there. I know that it has became a private thing and nothing's free no more but, RM 9 per adult is just toooooo much. Plus, we have to pay RM 5 per car. We went there with two cars and there were 9 of us...hohohoh. I'll think 87 times before going back there again. Lebeh baik sewa terus itu chalet ini macam meh. I think it costs around RM 100 ++ je.

2)
Went back to Penang during Chinese New Year holiday (yes, if you haven't realized yet..we take turns untuk balik kampong up north and down south to keep the family's aura in 'balance' :)). If we have 'laksa penang', 'mee bandung muar', 'satay kajang' and many other menus that have a place right next to a food's name, we just discovered that we just had 'pasembor padang kota'. To see what's different with this pasembor, I suggest you try it yourself if you have the chance.

3) Went to a ride with By's buddies from 4strokers.com. The trip which was called ECR (East Coast Ride) covered the east coast areas of Peninsular Malaysia (owh, yes..obviously..) and it took us nearly 3 days to complete the whole trip all the way from KL - Kuantan - Terengganu - Kelantan and up to Penang. The truths I didn’t know about big bikers and their big bikes before going to this ride are :

-
They're among family men which happen to be very family oriented people. Ramai jugak yang bawak bini pergi ride ni. Kalau pergi melepak in their the tarik session pun ramai jugak
yang datang dengan family dan anak2.

-They're among professionals, career wise. Banyak network jugak and actually they can be differentiated by location. Contohnye kalau kitorang bikers from Kl, bile datang Kerteh je kira datang melawat tempat big bikers kawasan sana la. Diorang siap jamu makan pulak tuh.

-We can ask police's assistance to escort us when the ride involves city/busy streets. Kalau masuk town kan jalan dah jem, so bantuan polis diperlukan bagi tujuan dan langkah2 keselamatan, ye tuan-tuan dan puan-puan.

-If we are escorted by policemen, they can hold the traffic and clear the street for us. Contohnye, kalau lampu trafik light tengah merah, polis bole tahan jalan dan give us ‘green light’ untuk jalan, ye la..supaya line tak putus. Kalau dah terputus line kan dah jadi tak convoy dah. Jadi naik motor sorang2 je.

-They have their own system while on the road. Ada center man, lead man and last mn which are located by their positions and fully equipped with communication tools (walkie-talkie je sebenarnye). They also have marshalls which are responsible to keep and monitor the line back and forth. Marshalls are also responsible to make sure the traffic is smooth for all riders. Contohnye, kalau ada junction, these marshals will stop and block the way so that no cars can make their turn. Ini semua untuk langkah2 keselamatan dan memastikan semua ahli bikers tidak berpecah dari kumpulan.

And one more thing, they are sooooo NOT mat rempit. No question about it.

*Will be leaving for Miri for 4 days.
More work, yes.
More rest, no.
Man...I miss my student's life.
