VDD
Assalamualaykum wht, Vendor Development Department, that's where I am located in a building that used to be the highest building in the world. As far as the job is concerned, I'm loving it. Here is basically what I do. The job actually duplicates everything I have done in school. I make research on companies, I do papers and proposals, I negotiate amount millions of dollars, and I attend various kind of meetings with big, corporate individuals. The funny part of the job is while in school all the assignments are based on make-up scenarios, here I am encountering real case studies, real people, real money ...muahahaha... The additional part of the job is I will be traveling around Malaysia for many site visits. Yeay yeahh..... I am in expedite learning process. I don't even know where my learning curve is. I'm supposed to attend a two-month induction course first in Bangi and Batu Rakit but the department wanted a helping hand badly at this time of year, so I assume the course will be postponed until next year while I'm being bullied for the next 6 months. During my 7 days in this department, I have attended 6 meetings with datuk2, done a proposal to be presented next Thursday in a major meeting, will be presenting VDP(Vendor Development Program) next week at PWTC. I am supposed to feel lethargic by the overwhelming-never-ending job, but surprisingly, I didn't. My presumption is that I have my angel waiting at home to sooth me down :) If you have a company with medium/high technology involved and it has something related to PSCs (Shell, Exxon, ect), please come to PWTC on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm to further be acquainted with what Petronas Vendor Development Department can offer you and what you can offer to the country. Man, I started thinking like an adult already... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Been listening to this since my boss asyik pasang je kat PC dia. Menarik jugak, cite katun + game rupanya... posted by Hana' at 6/16/2006 12:56:00 AM |
