Saving Me From Drowning

Went to Kinokuniya last Friday, already had 'Saving Fish From Drowning' by Amy Tan (this is a not so newly published book, by the way) grasped firmly in my hand. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough audacity to bring it to the payment counter. I was afraid that if I were to buy the book, I won't find the time to even finish the first page. Still influenced by Amy Tan's fabulous work on 'The Joy Luck Club', I think I'll hit Kinokuniya again next time for a second try.

As far as my work is concerned, I am perfectly happy with what I am currently doing. Just got myself confirmed as a permanent stuff after 6 months of probation, alhamdulillah. I was scheduled for an induction – for one whole month..yeeayyy to that. I was supposed to check myself in for the training this Monday morning, however due to some circumstances, I have been released from the program for 3 days to prepare for 'suddenly-we-need-you-in-our-roadshow'. No big deal, I prefer to involve in a road show than listening to lectures anyway, had been listening to lectures for over 17 years already. Furthermore, I still have 28 days more to go. My prediction on the induction will be memboringkan, tapi best...heheh. Looking forward to that, despite my uneasiness to leave By alone in Gombak.

By and I went to the PC Fair at KLCC today. Checked out on Altec Lansing's cool speakers. I had the intention to buy one for By since I accidentally broke his a few months back. Since the broken speaker is irreparable, I think I have to buy him a new one. Kindda feel guilty about it since he is a gadget boy, he fancies tech-no stuff a lot. And by doing not-so-cool things to stuff his loves, eg. terjahannamkan harta benda dia, I think that would really affects him even he didn't exactly express or show it..heheh. Anyway, those babes come in sets. We just wanted to buy the power supply but the salesman said it doesn't work that way. Since the price hasn't decreased even after it was like 3 years in the market, I really have to find some other cheaper way to buy this. Maybe beli online ke, takpun kat pasar gelap :D.
